Definition

‘a strategic and coherent approach to the management of an organization’s most valued assets – the people working there who individually and collectively contribute to the achievement of its objectives’. (Armstrong,2006,p3)

HRM ‘is concerned with the employment, development and reward of people in organizations and the conduct of relationships between management and the workforce’. (Armstrong,1999,p3)
HRM is the term used to describe formal systems devised for the management of people within an organization.
What are the responsibilities?There are three major areas in HRM such as staffing, employee compensation benefits, defining and designing work
Actually Human Resource Management deals with issues related to compensation.
Performance management.
Organization development.
Safety
Wellness
Benefits
Employee motivation
Training and others.
HRM plays a strategic role
 in managing people and the workplace culture and environment. (Griffith College, the Importance of Human Resource Management, 2011)

The role of the Human Resource management Team is suggests to the management team how to strategically manage people as business resources including managing, recruiting and hiring employees, coordinating employee benefits, and suggesting employee training and development strategies. (CIPD,the HR role)

 HR is important to a organization because they have the skills and they are expertise necessary to negotiate group benefit packages for employees, within the organization's budget and consistent with economic conditions and also they also are familiar with employee benefits most likely to attract and retain workers. (R.Mayhew,10 Reasons HR is important to an Organization)

HR development is extremely important because organizations recognize that any value added to an employee is value added to     the organization andemployees are eager for the opportunities to develop their skills and add value to their companies (Kathryn Stewart Human Resource Development: Definition & Importance, 2016)
